You know what's awesome?
When you have a comic you want to scan and your computer just doesn't want to recognize the scanner!
Fantastic!
I suppose I could just draw the damn thing digitally, but I really am at a point with drawing digitally where I am quite happy just using the Wacom to color and do touch ups in Photoshop. Yet I still want me a Cintiq. I want to try one out first though, before I sink that much money into it.
Although I still prefer the look of traditional inking vs digital inking, I am always intrigued by the prospect of going completely digital, and becoming a paperless artist. I think a Cintiq would get me closer to that, cause you don't have the disconnect of drawing on a Wacom in one place, and looking at the monitor in a different place. I dunno, maybe I just think about this stuff too much. What do you guys think?
Rar. My computer has been acting a little funny lately. And not only that, some of the programs I've been using haven't been working quite right. I upgraded to Toast 9, and when I try to burn a dvd in that, the thing just sits there and will not convert anything no matter what. I've gone back to using Toast 8.
On the plus side, I didn't pay for it, so I've got that going for me.
On the other plus side, I have figured out how to use iDVD, which means I can burn crap with cooler menus than before, but it just takes a while. No problem though, I can just start it and let it go overnight. I can deal with that. It's like waking up on Christmas morning! To a present I bought for myself! And it's a dvd of Mythbusters or Dirty Jobs!
Okay, so it's nothing like Christmas, really.
